Summary:
We are seeking an experienced professional for the position of Resident Services Director on a temporary basis until September 2015. The primary role of this position is to assist in the planning, organizing, developing and directing of personal care with the highest degree of resident service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Resident Services
Directs the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing of resident services in Assisted Living and Renaissance.
Develops and maintains the objectives and standards of the Resident Services Department throughout the community.
Ensures community team members, residents, visitors, etc. follow established policies and procedures, to include safety rules and regulations, at all times.
Ensures resident rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage a complaint, are followed by team members.
Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the community.

Medication Management & Delivery
Oversees medication management program of assisted living and Renaissance Residents.
Reviews med room environment and MARS on a monthly basis in each community med room.
Provides oversight of Medication Attendants including hiring, training, and scheduling for Assisted Living and Renaissance.
Assures that a stock level of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is maintained at adequate levels at all times. Handles requisition of equipment and supply needs as required in accordance with department budget and community policies.
Works with the community consultants as necessary and implement recommended programs, etc.
Reviews complaints and grievances and makes necessary oral/written reports to the General Manager and/or appropriate team members.
Oversees the evaluation of emergencies and determines emergency measures to be used. Notify the physician, record and document orders.

Assessments & Service Plans
Discuss potential new Residents with Marketing and the General Manager during the weekly roundtable meeting prior to performing the assessment to ensure placement suitability.
Complete an initial assessment and service plan for each new resident admission.
Schedule a service plan conference approximately thirty days after admission in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Review resident care plans quarterly and at a change of condition, provide a service plan conference not less than annually or with a change in condition or in accordance with the policy of the community.

Communication: exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing
First Aid and CPR certified

Knowledge
Must be a LVN or RN.
Experience with seniors in long-term care, assisted living strongly preferred
Have knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to Assisted Living.
Must possess or be trained for an Administrator Certificate from CCLD.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
